This evening, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, H.H. received 19 Metropolitans and Bishops who came to congratulate H.H. on his recovery from the health ailment H.H. had experienced to during the Nativity Mass.

H.H. thanked them for the feelings of love that they had shown towards him throughout the past period and their continuous following up on H.H, pointing out that the effort H.H. made before Christmas was double the usual, and H.H. reassured them that the examinations proved that it was just a case of exhaustion that required a sufficient rest period, which he was keen on. H.H. indicated that he spent his resting period between the Papal Residence in Cairo and the Papal Residence in Beit El Karma in King Mariout, Alexandria.
H.H. mentioned that he tried to bear his tirednesses during the Christmas Liturgy because the liturgy was seen live by millions of people, adding: “So I insisted that I meet the people and priests and our children on Christmas morning , and that I speak on television to reassure everyone, because most of what I was thinking about it, that I don’t want people to worry about me in the midst of the feast spirit.
H.H. confirmed that it was only necessary for him to go to the hospital to perform some analyzes and x-rays, stressing that he returned, as soon as the results of the examinations appeared, to the Papal Residence in Cairo.
The Metropolitans and Bishops expressed their happiness to be reassured about H.H. and to see him in perfect health.

During the meeting, many conversations took place, whereby His Holiness t was reassured about some pastoral matters in the dioceses, in an atmosphere dominated by feelings of friendliness and joy.
