This morning, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo a delegation of university professors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland who are participating in a scientific conference that is currently taking place in Cairo.
H.H. delivered a lecture during which H.H. took glimpses of the history of Egypt and the Coptic Church and its role in society.
At the end of the meeting, His Holiness presented them with a book about the Holy Family’s journey to Egypt, in English, to encourage them to visit the path of the Holy Family and its points in Egypt.
The members of the delegation were keen to take memorial photos with His Holiness, and then went to visit St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbaseya, and St. Mark’s shrine, and listen to a full explanation about them.
