His Holiness Pope Tawadros II sent a congratulatory message to the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayyib, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, which reads as follows:

We pray that God grant you success in completing your work to raise our dear homeland and your enlightening role in spreading awareness and the values of tolerance, brotherhood, the culture of peace, citizenship and coexistence.
