His Holiness Pope Tawadros II said in a short speech at the end of the dinner hosted by the Pontifical Ethiopian College in the Vatican this evening, welcoming His Holiness:
“At the end of this day, I thank all of you for your love, and I come from Egypt, the country where Muslims and Christians live with love, in a world that needs love. We in Egypt are approximately 15 million Christians and 90 million Muslims. We live in peace and love, and all Egyptians look forward to this visit as it is a sign and a message of love. I invite you all to work on presenting love to the world because this is the core of our Christian message, and we have in the Coptic Church we call this banquet “Agape”, which means a banquet of love, and today we are talking together over one banquet and this is what we are working for.
His Holiness the Pope recorded a word of gratitude and love in the VIP guestbook, in remembrance of His Holiness’s visit to the Vatican – May 2023.
