This morning (Wednesday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received at the Monastery of Anba Shenouda the Archimandrite in Milan, Ambassador Manal Abdel-Dayem (the Egyptian Consul General in Milan), accompanied by Consul Mahmoud El-Toukhy and Consul Ahmed Anwar.
During the meeting, His Holiness referred to the Monastery of Anba Shenouda in Milan as the first monastery established by the Coptic Church in Europe.
His Holiness praised the Egyptian state’s handling of the issue of illegal immigration to Italy, and its success in eliminating this problem.
On the level of Egyptian families in the lands of immigration, His Holiness stressed the importance of the family preserving the proficiency of their children in the Arabic language, and instilling and developing the values and traditions on which we were raised, to protect our children from strange traditions. His Holiness highlighted the importance of education as it is the key of the future.
