The committees of the Holy Synod resumed their meetings during the morning session today, in St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbaseya, where the committee held its meeting, headed by the committee’s rapporteur, H.E. Metropolitan Biemen, Metropolitan of Naqada and Qus.
It discussed a number of issues through the work of its sub-committees, which are the crisis management, national participation, and national relations committees.
It was followed by a meeting of the Diocesan Affairs Committee, chaired by H.E. Metropolitan Bakhoum, Metropolitan of Sohag, Al-Manshah and Al-Maragha, and the committee’s rapporteur, where the rapporteurs of the sub-committees of the main committee reviewed, reports of the work of the committees, which are the committees for the care of the affairs of the priests of Lower Egypt, the care of the affairs of the priests of Upper Egypt, and the consecration.
The meetings concluded with a meeting of the ritual committee, which was led by H.G. Bishop Makari, the general bishop of the churches of the southern Shubra sector.
The topics presented by the sub-committees were raised for discussion, namely the Liturgy, Hymns, Coptic Language, Coptic Heritage, Saints Recognition, and Translation of Liturgical Books.
