His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo this evening, Tuesday, two of our priests from the United States of America. They are Father Anthony Takla, priest of the Church of Martyr Abanoub and Saint Anthony, Bayonne, New Jersey, and Father Abraam Makram Naguib, priest of the Church of Saints Pope Kyrillos VI and Archdeacon Habib Gerges, Washington, New Jersey.
Each of them is accompanied by a group of young people from the two churches in which they serve, and who are currently on an archaeological and religious tour in Egypt.
H.H. welcomed them and asked them about the places they visited, the extent to which they enjoyed them and their presence in Egypt in general. H.H. also gave them a speech and answered their questions, and gave them an idea of the Church’s service inside Egypt and its spread in the countries of the world.
In conclusion, H.H. presented them with souvenirs and they took memorial photos with His Holiness.
