His Holiness Pope Tawadros II participated today in the celebration of the National Day of the State of Hungary, which coincides with the anniversary of its founding by King Stephen, known as the Saint of Hungary.
The celebration, which took place in Lagos Kossuth Square of the Hungarian Parliament, began at 8 am in the presence of the President of the Republic of Hungary, Katlin Novak, members of the government, the Commander of the Hungarian Defense Forces, representatives of other government and military organizations, members of the diplomatic corps, and hundreds of people took part in the ceremony.
The ceremony included a military parade accompanied by military music, the Hungarian flag was raised, the new officers took the military oath, and the Minister of Defense Christophe Szalay Boproviniski gave a speech, followed by the speech of the President of the Republic.
