His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received, this afternoon, Tuesday, at the papal residence in Cairo, Ambassador Thomas Akwaso, Ambassador of the State of Botswana to the Republic of Ghana, who came to receive the blessing as part of his current visit to Egypt.
The Botswana ambassador expressed his love for the Coptic Church and the social services it provides to the Ghanaian people.
For his part, His Holiness welcomed his guest and gave him an overview of the history of the Coptic Orthodox Church and its current great spread in the world.
During the visit, the ambassador was accompanied by Father Athanasius Ava Markos, the papal delegate to West Africa.
