This came before the start of his sermon at the weekly Wednesday meeting, which was held this evening at the Church of the Saint George in El-Max, in Alexandria.
His Holiness said: “We pray and share with our hearts the events that took place in Morocco and Libya.
The devastating earthquake that occurred in Morocco and the devastating floods that struck the coast of Libya as a result of the hurricane that affected it a few days ago, which left thousands of victims and injured.
We pray for the families of the victims and for the recovery of the injured. “Our country, through the political leadership, did well by sending aid to both countries.”
His Holiness praised His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s decision to send the Mistral aircraft carrier to Libya to serve as a field hospital.
H.H. added: “These are natural disasters, but they are extremely dangerous. May God protect them from any repercussions of these disasters, and protect our country from all evil, and let us pray that God will remove these dangers from us, protect people and countries, and give calm and stability to nature.”
