His Holiness Pope Tawadros II met at the Papal Residence in Cairo this Monday evening, with the priests of the churches of Salam City sector and their families, in the presence of H.G. Maximous, the General Bishop of the sector, as a part of His Holiness’ follow-up of pastoral work in the churches of Cairo.

At the beginning of the meeting, H.G. Bishop Maximous spoke, thanking His Holiness for his constant interest in following up on service conditions in the sector, meeting with the priests, and checking on them, their families, and their service. H.G. presented the progress of service in the churches, the growth occurring therein, and the steps arranged to accommodate the new pastoral requirements.
Then His Holiness spoke, welcoming the attendees , giving them an spiritual word, and answering their questions.
His Holiness distributed gifts to them, and they took photos with His Holiness. The children of the priests asked to take a special photo with His Holiness, and His Holiness accepted their request.
On September 26, His Holiness met with the general bishops supervising the pastoral sectors in Cairo. During the meeting, several pastoral matters were arranged, including successive meetings with the priests of the pastoral sectors in Cairo.
