Today, Sunday, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II witnessed the celebration of the Coptic Institute for Church Administration and Development (COPTICAD) for the graduation of bishops and priests who obtained the Institute’s basic training courses during the period from 2019 to 2022, which was held this evening at the Bishop Rowaice Theater in St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbasiya.
The Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Magdy Latif Al-Sindi, spoke, offering thanks to His Holiness the Pope for his constant support for “COPTICAD” and his keenness to consolidate the method of institutional work in the Church, stressing that instilling the vision of institutional work requires patience, work, and self-emptying, noting that the basic courses have been in place since 2019. Until 2023, 17 fathers who recently obtained the episcopal degree, 9 administrators of Coptic monasteries, and 500 priests, members of church councils, and service secretaries in 26 dioceses and pastoral sectors have passed it.
In conclusion, the 650 graduates were honored by His Holiness the Pope.
