During his sermon at Wednesday evening’s meeting, H.H. Pope Tawadros II called for the necessity of early voting in the presidential elections.
His Holiness said that there was good participation from Egyptians living abroad in the presidential elections voting.
He added: “Here too (in Egypt) it is important that we participate and express this constitutional right, and have a voice. Participation is an expression that you are exercising your right. This also teaches our children when they see their fathers and families participating in the elections. The meaning and value of participation is nurtured within them.”
Pope Tawadros mentioned that the elections will continue for three days, starting this coming Sunday. He called on all Egyptians to go to the polls from the first hour on the first day to give others a chance to vote.
