Today (Wednesday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received at the papal headquarters in Cairo, Counselor Dr. Hanafi Gebali, Chairman of the House of Representatives, accompanied by a delegation consisting of: Counselor Ahmed Saad El-Din (undersecretary of the House), Counselor Ahmed Manna (Secretary-General), Counselor Mohammed Abdel Aleem (Legal Advisor to the Speaker of the Council), and Major General Haitham Nour El-Din (Director of the Council President’s Office), to congratulate His Holiness on the occasion of the Glorious Feast of Nativity.

Pope Tawadros welcomed his guests, expressing his gratitude for their visit and greetings, stressing that such visits increase the ties and feelings of love between us.

For his part, Counselor Hanafi Gebali expressed his sincere congratulations to His Holiness, and to the church delegation present, pointing out that history bears witness to the patriotism of the Egyptian Church and that it has been keen throughout its history on its homeland.
