H.H. Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo today (Wednesday), Counselor Hosni Abdel Latif, President of the Court of Cassation and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, and Counselor Mohamed Shawky Ayyad, The Attorney General.
The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council was accompanied by a delegation consisting of: Counselor Mohamed Amr Gado (President of the Cairo Court of Appeal), Counselor Mahmoud Saeed (First Deputy President of the Court of Cassation), Counselor Abdel Aziz Al-Tantawi (Second Deputy President of the Court of Cassation), Counselor Ismail Attia (President of the Alexandria Court of Appeal), and Counselor Mohamed Hammad Abdel Hadi, (President of Tanta Court of Appeal).
Pope Tawadros welcomed the judicial delegation, expressing his happiness at their visit and greetings, and wished them success in their work and lives.
The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council and his entourage congratulated His Holiness the Pope on the Nativity Feast and the New Year. A friendly dialogue took place during which Pope Tawadros discussed the Coptic Church, its history, its patriarchs, its place among the Churches of the world, and its national and social role.
