Today (Thursday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received at the papal headquarters in Cairo, Major General Mahmoud Tawfik (Minister of Internal Affairs), accompanied by a delegation of ministry leaders, to extend congratulations to His Holiness on the occasion of the Glorious Feast of Nativity.

Pope Tawadros welcomed his guests, thanking them for their visit and greetings. He expressed his appreciation for the role of the police and its agencies, and their efforts to maintain security in Egypt. He praised the great development witnessed in the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

For his part, the Minister of Internal Affairs congratulated His Holiness, wishing him and all Egyptian Christians happy holidays, stressing that the role of the policeman complements that of the clergy in protecting citizens from all circumstances and challenges.
