His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received, today, Monday, at the headquarters of the Papal Library at St. Bishoy’s Monastery in Wadi Natroun, Mr. Marco Lucchesi, Head of the National Library in Brazil.

His Holiness the Pope welcomed his guest, then spoke about the Coptic Church, its history, and its relations with the churches of the world.

His Holiness also addressed the good relationship between the Egyptian government and the Al-Azhar Foundation, stressing that the Church establishes its relations with all entities on the basis of consolidating love and peacemaking.

For his part, the head of the National Library of Brazil expressed his admiration for the papal library, which contains many references on the history of the Coptic Church and Coptic studies, which provides a great opportunity to receive researchers and facilitates the possibility of conducting their studies.
