The committees of the Holy Synod resumed their meetings this morning, in the St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbasiya, where the Faith and Education Committee, led by its head, His Grace Bishop Makar, Bishop of Sharqiya and the Tenth of Ramadan, held a meeting and discussed a number of topics through the work of its subcommittees, and presented the work plans of the committees for developing Sunday school curricula and seminaries. Religious institutes, religious education, artistic works, and theological publications.
This was followed by a meeting of the Rites Committee, which was led by His Eminence Metropolitan Benjamin, Metropolitan of Menoufia. The topics presented by its subcommittees were presented for discussion, and the members discussed various proposals regarding some ritual arrangements.
The morning meetings concluded with a meeting of the Diocesan Affairs Committee, chaired by His Eminence Metropolitan Bakhoum, Metropolitan of Sohag, Manshaya and Maragha, and the committee’s head, where several proposals submitted to it were discussed, according to the committee’s agenda.
The three committees came up with recommendations that were submitted to the Holy Synod.
