His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo, today, Thursday, Dr. Michel Abs, Secretary-General of the Middle East Council of Churches, accompanied by Rev. Refaat Fikri, Co-Secretary-General of the Council, and Ms. Leah Maamari, Coordinator of the Communication and Information Department of the Council, in the presence of His Eminence Metropolitan Anthonious, Metropolitan of Jerusalem, Co-Chairman of the Council for the Oriental Orthodox Family, and Dr. Gerges Saleh, Honorary Secretary-General of the Council.

During the meeting, they discussed the celebrations of the Middle East Council of Churches for its fiftieth anniversary, as well as the activation of the work of the Council’s office in Cairo.
