The real battle was between two things, rebellion and disobedience led by Satan against God and deceived and mislead Adam who joined him; and between complete obedience in the name of humanity that was presented by Christ on the cross.
A battle between rebellion and obedience. Obedience was the sign of the cross, and rebellion was the disobedience of Satan. There was the real battle. Obedience to the Father was the end of the epic, and the Lord Christ cried out: “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit!” (Luke 23:46).
Satan ruled over humans through death, while the Lord Christ said: “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25), and death turned into desire in the hearts of the saints; because it is a way by which they are liberated from the troubles of the body and the struggles of this present time, to win the resurrection of the righteous in the Kingdom of Heaven.
We live in the joy of hope; Christ abides in us, and we in Him. We carry the full armor of God, armed against all the wars of Satan, awaken, vigilant, striving, armed with the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us, repenting of every sin, washed in the blood of the Lamb.
We live in the communion of spiritual life with Christ; because he gave us his life to live with; by this, we live as witnesses of the resurrection. We live in unspeakable joy, we live in faith from one generation to another.
He was raised for our justification
Our tutor, Paul the Apostle, mentioned in his letter to the Romans: that the Lord Christ “was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.” (Romans 4:25) … He died for our sins, He paid the penalty for sin with the cross, and was raised for our justification; because in the resurrection we are justified… in the resurrection, the life of holiness is affirmed, and we taste the sweetness of the kingdom of heaven, because the resurrection is the liberation from the power of sin, as He was resurrected for our justification. As resurrection is the liberation from sin so after the Lord Christ paid the price for our sins, humanity in His person became free from the curse of sin. As Paul, the Apostle said: “you also were made dead to the law by the body of Christ” (Romans 7:4) because “that if one died for all, then were all dead” (2 Corinthians 5:14)…and after they all died… they died of sin, and sin took its just punishment because sin is death. Death remained domineering for a long time, and now it has ended with the death of Christ on behalf of everyone, so those who died because of sin have the right to be freed from death in Christ, and about that Paul the Apostol said: “and raised us up with him, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6).
We have become strangers on Earth, because the Lord Christ is the first ascended to heaven, and we became, through the new birth, born from above, and we have a new lineage to heaven and not to earth. The earth has become a place of sojourn for us. Our union with the Lord Christ, risen from the dead, makes our thoughts heavenly. We live a life of victory, we live with a heavenly thought, and we are preoccupied with the heavenly things. Freed from all the bonds of matter and body; in order to live a life with heavenly thought while we are here on earth. We walk in the light, and love righteousness, because “Everyone who practices righteousness is born of him.” (1 John 2:29).
