H.H. Pope Tawadros II preached his weakly sermon at Wednesday meeting this evening from the Papal residence in Cairo. It was aired exclusively through Cristian’s channels and C.O.C channel that is affiliated to the church’s media center via internet without audience.
His Holiness continued his series of explanations in Psalm 37, where he dealt with part of verse 37, which is “the heel for a man is peace” and pointed out how a person loses peace:
1- The mistaken belief that worldly matters do not go according to human desires, and following the mistakes of others.
2- The inner feeling of injustice, whether this feeling is real or not.
3- Life in sin.
4- False fears.
5- Follow the disturbing news very carefully.
6- Overthinking about things too much and thus constant worry.
His Holiness went on to explain the wisdom of dealing with anger that takes away human peace through several situations with examples from the Bible. And the importance of making peace by making sure that the word of man is correct, because “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God,” through:
– The soft answer.
– Quiet understanding.
– Word of wisdom.
– Slow to respond.
Therefore, man should search for a life of peace in his life, because “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, to men of goodwill.” (Luke 2:14)
H.H. started from the beginning of September a new serious of sermons in his weekly Wednesday’s meeting throw out Psalm 37 titled by “Lessons of Wisdom” and the “Man of Peace” subject is the Seventeenth lesson in this serious.
