Today, H.H pope Tawadros II honours who got the first place in the “Our Youth Read” initiative that the Kobba Territory, El-Waili and El-Abbasiya Churches sector lunched in the previous November.
An honouring ceremony was held at the Logos centre at the Papal residence in St. Bishoy’s Monastery in Wadi El Natroun, and the party that was represented by Dina Abdel Karim included a documentary file “Before the Initiative” and another one that talked about the initiative effect an the personal, family and the church level throw-out the participations’ experiences.
H.G. Bishop Mikhael, The General Bishop on the churches’ sector and the supervisor of the initiative, thanked H.H. for his hosting to the ceremony pointing to the importance of reading in a person’s life as it is an effective way to reach God as it also makes life more meaningful, encouraging the sector’s youth to keep reading regularly.
H.H. ended the ceremony by praising the idea of the initiative and the three books that were chosen in the initiative pointing to five advantages that reading could give and they are: blessing, fun, faithful friendship, knowledge, leadership
Also, H.H. pointed out to the strong relation between leadership and reading “Read to Lead”
At the end, H.H honours 60 person who got the first-place throw-out three running months in the initiative as he gave them a certificate and a special reward.
The Kobba Territory, El-Waili and El-Abbasiya Churches sector lunched the initiative “Our Youth Read” for the first time in previous November, to encourage the sector’s people to read and that threw-out a competition “Book X Month” as every month a book is selected to by read by youth and an online exam shall be held at the end of the month about the book and there shall be a reword for the pioneers.
