His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo this morning a group from the “CMANA” Medical Charitable Foundation, in the United States of America, who provided medical services for a week at Misr Al-Mahaba Hospital in Bani Mazar, Minya, where they performed more than 60 surgeries in various specialties, some of which were very precise surgeries. They also conducted examinations for more than 200 outpatients in the hospital.
The “CMANA” team was accompanied by a group of youth from the Church of the Virgin Mary, East Brunswick, New Jersey, USA, and the priest of the church, Fr Mark Hanna, who provided a number of various social services, especially for people of special needs, in coordination with the Al-Raae and Om Al-Nour Foundation.
His Holiness welcomed the group of doctors and youth, and gave them an opportunity to express each of them their feelings about serving in this type of services, as most of them expressed their happiness with this matter.
At the end of the meeting, H.H. presented certificates of appreciation to the CMANA team, as well as some gifts to all, then memorial photos were taken.
