His Holiness Pope Tawadros II witnessed the closing day of the LOGOS Leadership Program (LLP), which took place at the Papal Residence in Cairo today, Saturday.
The closing day activities began with the presentation of five projects that the program participants worked on preparing after dividing them into five teams.
The five projects were diverse and were designed in practical way that can be used during the coming period to serve the Mother Church in Egypt and the world.
During the presentation of their projects, the five teams demonstrated the great benefits they gained during the LOGOS Leadership Programme.
His Holiness commended the high precision and clear attention to every detail during the design of the projects.
After the end of the presentations, the official photo of the first batch of the LOGOS Leadership Program was taken with His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and Fr. Rafaael Tharwat, Deputy Bishop of Services and Fr. Mikhail Samir, the spiritual father of the LOGOS Forums Office, the priests participating in the program, and members of the LOGOS Forums Office.
This was followed by the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the LOGOS Leadership Program, which was attended by His Holiness and H.E. Metropolitan Daniel, Metropolitan of Maadi and the Secretary of the Holy Synod, H.G. Bishop Yolios, General Bishop of Old Cairo and the bishopric of services, and H.G. Bishop Bavli, General Bishop of the churches of the Montazah sector in Alexandria, Fr. Ebraam Emil, the Patriarchal Vicar of Alexandria, Ambassador Nabila Makram, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fahim Foundation.
The ceremony began with prayer, then the national anthem, then a video was shown about the LOGOS program journey from its inception to the graduation ceremony.
Speeches were delivered, and His Holiness delivered a speech in which he expressed his great happiness for the young graduates of the program who will join the service in its various forms that His Holiness carries out in Egyptian and international forums and meetings.
His Holiness the Pope said during his speech:
“My church, how beautiful it is.. I love my church.. I am under its command.”
Emphasizing the importance of having:
– Open mind
– An expanding heart
– A humble spirit
The graduates recited the pledge of their service, then His Holiness honored the lecturers in the program and handed over their graduation certificates.
