In 2013, The Papal office for projects (POP); was established by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria & Patriarch of the See of St. Mark. Founded as the Pope’s direct humanitarian office, through which H.H. vision to fight poverty is executed. POP supports projects in different fields of service, placing particular focus on supporting initiatives that promote the provision of quality health and education services, and build capacities within the Coptic Orthodox Church to better serve the world, as well as responding to humanitarian needs.
POP seeks to serve the global community effectively. Its approach includes partnerships, empowering the vulnerable, and ensuring project sustainability.
Our vision is to provide love in action, as a testimony to the love of Jesus Christ for all.
The Papal Office for Projects (POP) is dedicated to building human capacity, with a special focus on expanding access to quality healthcare and education for all. POP actively supports the construction of educational and healthcare facilities, while also providing technical expertise and capacity-building programs to ensure their sustainable management and long-term impact.
Through strong partnerships and collaborative initiatives with local and international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations, POP works to extend comprehensive support and services to those in need. A key priority is empowering vulnerable and marginalized groups, helping them transition from exclusion to inclusion by offering skills training, small income-generating projects, and awareness programs that promote self-reliance and social integration.
