Today, H.H Pope Tawadros II said his Wednesday weekly sermon from the Church of the Transfiguration in the Papal residence in Logos Centre in the monastery of St. Anba Bishoy in Wadi El-Natrun.
The sermon was aired by Christian satellite channels and the C.O.C channel of the Church’s Media Centre on the Internet, as a small number of people were attending.
H.H completed his series of sermons, “Deep Sermons in Short Phrases”, where he concentrated on the question of St. Paul the Apostle, which he addressed to Christ, the moment he appeared to him: “Lord, what do you want me to do?” (Acts 9:6).
H.H referred to the prayers that changed the lives of many personalities in the Bible, and also hinted that hearing the voice of God comes through:
• Pray constantly, observation and silence time.
• Reading of the Bible daily
• Consulting of a spiritual guide.
• Peace of mind when making a decision.
H.H continued that surrendering to the divine will be achieved through:
• Having a serious relation with Christ
• Constant longing for Him by saying prayers, glorification, and practicing various rituals of worship.
• Growth in spiritual stature by increasing knowledge of it.
H.H presented in in his Wednesdays meetings throughout February, a serious of new sermons entitled by “Deep Sermons in Short Phrases”; they are phrases mentioned in the Bible verses or quotes by saints, consisting of a few words, but they carry sermons and great benefits for human life.
